Palmistry Conference 2010
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 June 2010 10.30am to 4.45pm, Friends House, 173 Euston Road, London NW1 2BJ.
About the weekend: Our annual Palmistry Conference weekend is the only event of its kind in the UK. This is a chance to really see the experts in action and to work with them on your own hands.
The weekend has been designed for you to spend much time working on your own palms in small groups with the tutors, and it will offer talks on specific areas of hand analysis. You won't need to know anything about hands to get lots out of the weekend, but experienced students will gain all sorts of new insights into the craft. We shall also have a bookstall of new and second hand books on the subject. Sadly, Peter West is unable to attend, but we're delighted to welcome back Johnny Fincham, Robin Lown and Jane Struthers, and legendary hand reader Johan Hjelmborg will be visiting us from Denmark.
SATURDAY
Johan Hjelmborg: HAND SIZE AND SHAPE
Johan will introduce his innovative guide to how hand shape, the size of the mounts and finger length/setting give important and decisive clues as to our disposition and how we feel ‘at home’.
Jane Struthers: READING SOMEONE’S MIND
The Head Line tells us so much about the way someone communicates with the world and the best method of conversing with them. In this interactive session, Jane will show us how to assess the Head Lines of the person sitting next to us – and tailor what we say to match the way they will hear and process the information.
Johnny Fincham: ODDBALLS AND INTROVERTS
Johnny will discuss the palms of those who don’t fit into society and look at signs of rebellion and non-conformism in the hand.
Robin Lown: CREATIVITY IN THE HAND
Where and how do you access your innate talents and creativity? Robin will show where these spring from in our hands and how to make a quick assessment and synthesis. Includes an interactive session with the audience.
SUNDAY
Frank Clifford: THE INSTANT PALMIST: DIGITS
Fingers and fingertips store a remarkable amount of information about us. In this session, we’ll learn how to pinpoint traits and spot needs from finger length, relative position, prints and rings.
Robin Lown: SPEED-DATING WITH PALMISTRY
When we really need to know about a potential partner, where can we see the big ‘trust and talk’ issues in the hand, such as faithfulness, stability, sense of humour, outlook and personality?
Johnny Fincham: THE HANDS OF ARTISTS
Are there any special marks on the palms that denote artistic talent? If so, what features incline us towards a particular talent?
Johan Hjelmborg: BARACK OBAMA & MICHAEL JACKSON
Studying hands of public people provides an opportunity to see palmistry ‘in action’. Johan will offer insights into the hands of Obama and Jackson, with particular reference to exhibitionism.
INTERACTIVE SESSION with the speakers
A useful session for attendees to team up in small groups with the tutors to identify and interpret the lines on their own hands.

Barbara Dunn's Going Further with Horary
Date: 10-11 July 2010 at the Resource Centre, 356 Holloway Road, N7 6PA. 10.30am to 5pm.
About the course: Firstly, please note the venue is the Resource Centre, Holloway Road, not Friends House in Euston.
When clients ask a specific question, can we answer it in a definite and unambiguous way? Nativities (natal charts) can be very useful in determining the likely pattern of events during a lifetime, but if we want to be more specific, we must ask a question. The asking of questions (Horary) was a method much favoured by astrologers of the past. The techniques used by our ancestors produced clear and accurate answers at that time, just as they do for us now. During this special, self-contained weekend – aimed at astrologers and students with some basic knowledge of Horary – Barbara will focus on the judgement of many different Questions. Among the topics covered will be achievement, career, finance, relationships, pregnancy, property, sport and sickness. Come and join us for this informative weekend and bring along your questions, nativities and elections!
Basic knowledge of horary, the signs, planets, aspects and houses is assumed. Please bring questions, elections or nativities with you. Cost: £99 (£90 current LSA students). Barbara’s new book will be available (or may be ordered in advance) at a discounted price of £25 (RRP: £28). Time: 10:30am to 5:00pm. Venue: Resource Centre, 356 Holloway Rd, London N7 6PA.
