Tarot Certificate Course with Sue Farebrother
Monday evenings for 8 weeks from 1 March 26 April 2010
(no class Easter Monday, 5 April), 79.30 pm, Friends House, 173 Euston Road, London NW1 2BJ. Recordings of classes will be made available to students by email each week.
About the course: We will cover all 78 cards in depth, learn different layouts, and do practise readings. As well as talking about the cards, we will use guided imagery, story telling, intuitive exercises and creative practical work that will help you to develop your understanding. All that is needed is a notebook and pen, and enthusiasm for learning the tarot! If you have a tarot deck, please bring it, but we will discuss different decks on the first evening if you dont yet have one of your own. There is no set deck, so bring whichever deck you have (if you have one yet!). Cost: £180

Barbara Dunn's Horary Astrology Course
Three weekends: 27-28 March, 15-16 May, 3-4 July 2010 at the Resource Centre, 356 Holloway Road, N7 6PA. 10.30am to 5pm.
About the course: Firstly, please note the venue is the Resource Centre, Holloway Road, not Friends House in Euston.
Build up a thorough understanding and working knowledge of horary astrology with this new, intensive course (3 self-contained weekends) designed for the LSA. During the course, acclaimed astrologer Barbara Dunn will focus on relationships, money, pregnancy, property, sickness, career, lawsuits and sport.
Weekend One: The Basics of Horary, part 1
Includes the importance of traditional and horary astrology; the type of questions asked. Planets: incl. superiors and inferiors, nature, joys, indications, principal signification and analogy, planetary aspect, sect, essential dignities, almuten, antiscia. Houses: Ptolemy and Manilius, quadrants, angles, turning the chart. With guest tutor Mike Edwards.
Weekend Two: The Basics of Horary, part 2
Includes Signs: seasons, parts of the body, fertility, description, triplicities, missing people/items/animals; the nature, place, country, general description and diseases signified by the signs. Signification: the places of greatest authority, selecting the correct significator, the querent. Considerations before judgement: proceeding, deferring, discarding. The Question: radicality, sincerity, direct/indirect questions. And more.
Weekend Three: Weighing Up the Testimony
The possibility/impossibility of the matter; timing; testimonies of good fortune and misfortune. And more.
Booking single weekends is also possible. Those with some experience may wish to book weekend 2 or 3 only. Basic knowledge of the signs, planets, aspects and houses is assumed. Please bring questions, elections or nativities with you. Cost: £99 per weekend (£90 current LSA students) or £270 for all three. Diploma and Certificate Exam News 2010
The new-style Diploma Assignments consist of the following: three
compulsory essays (interpretation, forecasting, one identity report, one compulsory Self-Supervision Report and consultation,
and three further essays (two specialized study essays and one technique essay) from a choice of areas. Please
email the office for full details admin@londonschoolofastrology.co.uk.
The LSA is a full member of the APAI, enabling LSA Diploma holders
to apply for APAI membership (which includes opportunities to be
on their list of practitioners and obtain professional liability
insurance).
Students wishing to take the LSA Certificate Exams will sit the
Interpretation and Technical paper (sat at home) in June each
year (22 June to 20 July 2009). The application deadline for the
exams can be found on the Exams page.
